Sara Hannell has specialised in family law for over 20 years, and has been a partner of the firm since 2003. She advises in all areas of family law, but has a particular specialism in cases with an international element and prenuptial agreements.
Sara has been recognised annually in the Chambers and Partners Directory since 2006 and The Legal 500 Directory since 2004 as a leader in her field. She is described in the current edition of Chambers as “a highly intelligent and committed lawyer who works phenomenally hard for her clients.”
Previous editions of Chambers have praised her skills as a collaborative lawyer and described her as “challenging, energetic and really knows her stuff”, “always proactive and gives really rational and realistic advice” and “an independent, efficient and no-nonsense lawyer who can hold her own in the high net worth divorce market”.
Sara is an elected Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a member of Resolution and a trained collaborative lawyer. She has appeared on television and radio commenting on the legal issues arising from family and has lectured on developments in family law. She studied French and History at Oxford University and worked briefly in Paris before qualifying as an English solicitor.
